Welcome to the January 2016 Altered Art Challenge!
With your hostess, Scrappin Wright.
Are you feeling unsure how to begin an art journal or altering elements and kits you have in your stash? Are you wondering if there are rules? Come join me in this new year as we explore altered art and journaling together! Starting this month and every month after I will be giving you some tips for your digital art journaling / altered art journey.
I will give you a mini kit to play with as your gift just for playing along. It is my hope to inspire your creativity.
This month let's learn how to begin. First there are no rules when it comes to art it's about being free to explore yourself. There are no rules for journaling, it can be personal or inspiring. The point of doing these projects is to have fun and hopefully inspire others!
Tips: First of all let me just say, I LOVE brushes and my library is huge. I would recommend you build a collection for your altered art and journaling pages. They really help your creativity flow. In my example I have used my mini kit to express how I feel about New Years Resolutions and having to remember to write the new year instead of the old (hehe). There was no pattern or planning I just created my journaling then I used the tools in this kit to create art. I have my feeling in my journaling and my art is the creative use of the tools I had. I used the brushes I made to “alter” my digital work. (pst brushes are included)
